Shatter Batter Explains reciprocity of your MMJ red card.

Posted by Shatter Batter on

As more and more states become legal for medical and recreational marijuana and as we take Shatter Batter to more states I started to wonder what my options are to get MMJ with my Colorado Red Card.

Is there any reciprocity.  The Answer is yes in some states.

Now lets exclude states Like Colorado and Oregon that recreational weed is in fact legal.

For the medicinal side there is some medicinal reciprocity available.

These are the states that have some or complete recriprocity of MMJ.

 Arizona Hawaii Maine
Michigan Nevada New Hampshire
Pennsylvania Rhode Island

There is good news and bad news here. Arizona will recognize your need to have medical marijuana in this state but WILL NOT allow you to buy in the stated licensed dispensaries. Now I am left to ask how do they expect to you to get legal MMJ here for you to have but hey who expects logic when it comes to the government and legislation.  Now like I said the good news is Arizona will not confiscate your Medical Marijuana here as long as you have a legit red card.

Proposition 203, Chapter 28.1, 36-2801 Sec 17. Visiting Qualifying Patients.

Legal Limit on your person 2.5 ounces of usable weed.

As of January 1 2018 with your red card you will be able to purchase your medical Marijuana at any of the 8 licensed dispensaries which as of our last report should be up and operational by then.

Act 241, HRS Chapter 329D.

Legal Limit on your person 4 ounces every 15 consecutive days, or 8 ounces every 30 consecutive days.

What a beautiful state. And this state went legal in 2016 so never fear grab your Shatter Batter Liquidize your wax and let her go. Check out the whales while you do your medicine or Vape your Shatter Batter. Another great reason to go this beautiful state.

Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Program, CMR, Chapter 122, 2.1.3 Protected conduct by a visiting qualifying patient.

Legal Limit : 2 1/2 ounces for both visiting patients with a valid registry identification, as well as for adults with a valid government-issued identification.

Not at all the most friendly off all states. If you are from someplace that it is legal and not frowned upon like Colorado don't expect this attitude here. There are a lot of restrictions which you should be aware of so read act 333.26424 sec 4(h) linked below. Even the locals get a bit confused and really do not flaunt the usage.

Michigan Medical Marijuana Act 333.26424, Sec. 4(h).

Legal LImit : 2 1/2 ounces of usable cannabis

Ok yes this is a recreational state but as of the writing of this post they have not completely settled into all the Recreational Marijuana laws. So yes until March of 2018 they will allow you to walk into a dispensary with your red card but after that you will have to go to recreational facility.

Chapter 453A – The Medical Use of Marijuana, NRS 453A.364 Recognition of nonresident cards.

Legal Limits : 2 1/2 ounces and/or a maximum allowable quantity of edible cannabis products and cannabis-infused products, or 1 ounce of cannabis flower for adult consumers.

New Hampshire

Another rule that does not make much sense to me. You can have weed here as long as you fall under the same qualifying conditions of there own red cards. But You CAN NOT purchase your medical marijuana at a licensed dispensary. Seems to me this law is as high as the beautiful mountains that abound in this state. Curious how I got medical marijuana here legally if I can not get it here but hey at least I can have my medicine.

Legal Limit :  2 ounces; you must be authorized for the same qualifying medical conditions that are allowed under New Hampshire’s MMJ laws.

Therapeutic Cannabis Program Registry Rules, He-C 401.16  Visiting Qualifying Patients.

It is legal for the parent or guardian of a minor under 18 years of age to lawfully obtain medical cannabis from another medical state to be administered to the minor. However, this part of the law will be repealed within 730 days (2 years) and only applies to underage patients.

Legal Limit :  Patients may possess pills, oils, topical creams, tinctures and dry leaf for vaporization only.

Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program FAQ.

Rhode Island

Although the law specifically permits out-of-state medical marijuana patients to possess the same amount of cannabis as as an in-state patient, Rhode Island dispensaries do not take your patient registry card.

Legal Limit : 2 1/2 ounces of usable cannabis.

Please remember laws change and this is our best interpretation of the rules we can do. We believe that they are correct as of this date of publishing but it is your responsibility to double check and ensure we did not miss anything.
